The Southern Regional Youth Event will be held on the campus of Dillard University in New Orleans from June 10th - 13th of 2010.  A fund is established through the South Texas Association to help fund this trip for the youth of the STA.  If you would like to contribute to this fund and give our young people a chance of a life time please send your checks to:  Betty Surman, 7415 Gin Rd., Marion, TX  78124.  Betty is the Association Treasurer.  Please indicate on your checks that this is for the Southern Regional Youth Event.
       Currently there are:
               6 youth from Bethany Congregational UCC, San Antonio
               2 youth from Faith UCC, New Braunfels
               2 youth from Faith UCC, Orange Grove
planning to attend.

 The "Spring Gathering" will be held at Faith UCC in New Braunfels.  Registration will begin at 2:30 and the program at 3:00 p.m.  This year the Rev. Scott Martin will present the program on "Inter Faith Dialogue".  This will be held in the sanctuary.  At the same time the youth and sponsors attending the Southern Regional Youth Event will meet in the fellowship hall.  This portion will be led by Rev. Gerry Metzger.  There will be an offering during the worship that will help support those attending the Southern Regional Youth Event.
